Dr. Kollin began her career as a clinical laboratory scientist in Long Beach California where she worked behind the scenes in cancer research. After spending years in the realm of conventional cancer research, and losing her own grandfather to cancer, Dr. Kollin began to realize just how superficial the conventional approach to treating cancer was.
While conventional treatment methods could work to eliminate existing cancer cells, they never addressed the root cause or how patients could prevent cancerous cells from forming again. While conventional cancer care methods certainly have a vitally important place in treatment, they fail to address the human behind the cancer and how their emotions, environment, relationships, and sense of purpose impact their ability to heal.
She thought back to her own grandfather’s battle with cancer and realized that with his diagnosis came an even bigger blow – a loss of his sense of purpose and identity as cancer stripped him of his ability to continue in his line of work.
She began to realize that you simply can’t effectively treat cancer (or any disease state for that matter) without addressing the person as a whole. Once she understood the power of tapping into true healing by addressing not just the body – but the mind, spirit, environment, relationships, and more – there was no turning back.
Seeing this gap in cancer care and realizing that these holistic cancer care strategies were often never even presented as an option to cancer patients lit a fire inside Dr. Kollin. She returned to school to pursue her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe Arizona.
Dr. Kollin has dedicated her career to helping people heal from the inside out. While she loves supporting her patients at any level of their health journey, her primary focus is on helping cancer patients treat and beat cancer for good and helping her patients create vibrant longevity with an arsenal of holistic anti-aging strategies. She integrates whole-body and whole-soul practices to help her patients create true healing and vibrant health.
When she’s not taking care of her patients you can find Dr. Kollin hiking and enjoying the great outdoors or spending time with her son. She also enjoys cuddling up with her two cats and diving into a book or perusing the latest studies related to cancer research.
